Crowdfunding's wrapped - what's ahead?
Hi!
So, our little crowdfunding campaign has come to an end. Was it a success? From our point of view - absolutely. In the end, we started off by making the game downloadable for free, and yet, you guys thought of it as worth your money, even if just a few dollars. We're sincerely flabbergasted and grateful for that. So, from the bottom of our merged-twisted-singular-shared heart: thank you.
Ultimately we raised $39, just a bit short of the goal of making and releasing a set of scenarios for the game, including the introductory one we've already shared. Thing is - we, internally, talked about how we wanted to tackle the process of building upon the base Hoarfrost. While we could just say "yeah nah screw it, we start working on a given goal once we reach it", we felt that would be dishonest and, honestly, plain lazy. We viewed the goals as milestones, funding of which dictated the rate of development.
What does it mean for you? Well, naturally, it means that you will be getting three more scenarios we've been making in the meantime! They need some more polish, but should be up in a few days. As to not leave you fully empty-handed, attached you shall find the (current, mind you!) graphic design of their opening-section-title-cover pages. Of course they'll be available for everyone who bought the base game (or snagged a community copy). We're also thinking about sharing the basic printer-friendly .pdf (without the scenarios) for free, as a demo of sorts. After all, we're happy to have other people try it out and hack it. It also feels fair to call it a slightly different product than the fully visually realized Hoarfrost.
Wish you all the best and be right back in a few days.
Cheers!
